Adams Central Athletics

The 8th grade Lady Jets volleyball team completed a perfect season, 28-0, only dropping one set all season long to St. Joe in the championship of the first tournament of the year! They are ACAC Tourney Champions, ACAC Regular Season Champions, Jay County Tourney Champions, Wyneken Volleyfest Champions, Norwell Invite Champions and St. Joe Commodore Classic Champions. In the championship match against Heritage, the Lady Jets found themselves down early in the first set 10-3. The Lady Jets fought back with some tough serving and hitting to 20-21 and pulled out the win 25-23. The final set, the Lady Jets took control early, never looking back (25-13 score) and earned the ACAC Tourney Championship for the second straight year. Slone Schortgen led in stats with 29 assists, 24 kills, 11 aces, 3 blocks and 25 digs. Jentrie Schaefer had 1 assist, 24 kills, 6 aces, 3 blocks and 4 digs. Brielle Grover had 19 assists, 2 kills, 7 aces and 10 digs. Kelsey Beaver had 6 assists, 2 aces and 20 digs. Claira Foreman had 9 kills, 2 aces, 5 blocks and 3 digs. Alivia Gilbert had 5 kills, 7 aces and 5 digs. Meg Hildebrand had 9 digs and 1 ace. Kenli Landis had 3 aces, 5 digs. Hallie Schaefer had 4 digs, 1 kill, 1 ace. Kate Muhlenkamp had 1 dig. The 7th Grade team finished their season as regular season ACAC Champs and ACAC Tournament Champs! They were also Jay County tournament Champs.
