The rhythm of August golf kept rolling for Adams Central on Tuesday night, and the Lady Jets didn’t flinch under the weight of expectation. Hosting Jay County at Wabash Valley, the varsity squad strung together a composed performance to win 197–220, proving again that this group has both experience at the top and promise rising fast behind it. Sophomore Londyn Smith's 47 was good enough for medalist honors, another feather in the cap of the player who continues to anchor the Jets’ lineup. But the evening wasn’t just about the veteran. It was a breakout night for some of the Jets’ newest faces. Adrienne Johnson, only weeks into her Adams Central career, notched a personal best, flashing signs of the consistency coaches knew she had in her bag. Claire Arner and Isabelle Hammond, both brand-new to competitive golf, joined her in setting personal records, while sophomore Rylee Hammond matched their excitement with a career-low of her own. Each swing carried the look of players who are learning quickly and gaining confidence by the day. The JV squad mirrored the varsity’s momentum, picking up their first win of the season with a team total of 255. For a group built on development, it was a performance that drew smiles all around. Adams Central now shifts focus to tonight's home match against conference foe Heritage. With records already falling this season and young players coming into form, the Lady Jets have momentum that feels very real — and a team chemistry that’s hard to miss.
