Jets Sweep Heritage in Conference Match at McMillen Park

The Adams Central boys golf team picked up another sweep on Tuesday night at McMillen Park Golf Course, defeating conference rival Heritage on both the varsity and JV sides — while tying the school’s 9-hole short course team scoring record in the process. The varsity squad fired a sharp team score of 157, matching the program's lowest recorded 9-hole score on a par-32 course. Junior Drew Johnson led the Jets with a 35, followed by Brody Isch and Mavrick Becher, each carding a 40. Trace Maller added a 44, while Coltan Landrum contributed a 42 to complete the record-tying performance. On the JV side, the Jets continued their strong season with a team total of 166, comfortably defeating Heritage’s 207. Jaret Smith paced the group with a 40, while Zach Frank and Ashton Yergler each shot 41, and Max Kaehr added a 44. The win moves Adams Central to 3–1 in conference play and 5-2 on the season. The Jets will return to action on Tuesday, May 13 in a three-way meet at Chestnut Hills Golf Club against Canterbury and Churubusco.
