The Adams Central golf team hosted Northfield on Wednesday afternoon at Wabash Valley Golf Club, playing the front nine in a dual match that saw both the Varsity and JV squads take to the course. The Varsity Jets fell to Northfield by a score of 180–162, despite a strong showing from team leader Drew Johnson, who carded a 42. Mavrick Becher followed with a steady 43, while Trace Maller, Ashten Yergler, and Jaret Smith turned in rounds of 47, 48, and 49 respectively. While the Varsity came up short, the Junior Varsity squad earned a win, bolstered by balanced scoring across the lineup. Coltan Landrum led the way with a 46, while Brody Isch added a 47. Damien Saalfrank had a strong round of 59 on the challenging back nine. The Jets return to action on Monday, April 21, when they travel to face Woodlan in another key conference matchup.
