In an exciting 3-game match, the 7th grade Lady Jets defeated a tough Blackhawk Christian team 25-20, 20-25, 15-9. The Jets were led by the defensive efforts of their libero, Kelsey Beaver with 11 digs, 2 aces, 1 assist, and 1 kill. Jentrie Schaefer was a monster at the net creating chaos for the Lady Braves with her 10 kills, 1 block, 3 digs, 1 ace and 1 assist. Slone Schortgen had 10 assists, 9 digs, 3 kills and 2 aces. Meg Hildebrand had 2 kills and 3 digs while Alivia Gilberts posted 2 kills, 1 dig and 1 aces in the effort! Hallie Schaefer slammed down 3 kills and had 1 ace. Brielle Grover had 3 assists, 1 kill and 1 dig. Ahni Reinhard had 2 digs, Katie Hurst 2 aces and Kenli Landis had 1 assist! The Lady Jets (15-3 and 5-0 in the ACAC) will play Southern Wells on Thursday at home for the chance to win the ACAC regular season championship at 5:30pm. Come out and cheer on the 7th and 8th grade teams before the JV/Varsity match. The middle school teams will be recognized during the Varsity match Thursday night!
