The 7th grade Lady Jet’s volleyball team had a total team effort to defeat Bellmont 25-14, 25-6. Excellent passing and serving propelled the Jets to victory! Slone Schortgen tallied 10 assists, 3 aces, 4 kills and 1 dig for the Jets. Brielle Grover had 6 assists and 2 aces. Alivia Gilbert and Jentrie Schaefer both had 6 kills. Kelsey Beaver racked up 5 aces. Kenli Landis had 2 kills and 2 aces. Claira Foreman had 2 kills and 1 ace. Jocie Ogg had 2 aces, and Meg Hildebrand had 2 kills. Hallie Schaefer had 1 dig and 1 ace. Kate Hurst rounds up the stats with 1 kill and 1 ace. The 8th grade Lady Jets played well the first 2 sets but came up short in the 3rd set. Briella Hill had 2 kills and 1 assist for the night. JJ Nussbaum led with 5 aces, 3 digs and 1 assist. The Jets will play Thursday at South Adams for the ACAC Regular Season Championship. Game time is 5:30pm.
