Adams Central Flying Jets took on the South Adams Starfires on Saturday, May 11th in a double header. The first game was a conference game, in which the Jets won 11-1. It was a tight game for most of the way. AC jumped on SA starting pitcher Owen Wanner in the top of the first inning after Ryan Tester singled in Trevor Currie making it 1-0. SA got on the board in the bottom of the first inning without ever even taking a swing with the help of a hit by pitch, walk, and two passed balls. AC starting pitcher got out of jam with a double play to end the inning at 1-1. AC scored in the top of the 3rd inning when Ryan Tester doubled in Jack Hamilton to take the lead 2-1. AC finally pulled away in the top of the 6th inning when Senior catcher Keegan Bluhm hit a two run Home Run off Wanner to put the Jets up 4-1. AC blew the game open in the 7th once Wanner was pulled from the game scoring seven runs in the final frame. AC was led on the mound by Senior Dakota Perry who earned the win by going six innings of one run (0 earned), 2 hit baseball. Trevor Currie was two for three with two runs scored and two steals. Ryan Tester was three for five with three RBI and a double. Dakota Perry was three for four at the plate with two steals. Keegan Bluhm was two for four with four RBI and a home run.
