On a competitive Saturday at the Wabash Valley Golf Club, the Adams Central Jets Boys Varsity Golf Team excelled at the 6-team Bi-County Invitational, securing a commendable second place with a remarkable team score of 334. Despite a narrow defeat, the Jets finished just three strokes behind Bellmont, who clinched the victory with a score of 331. The Jets' performance outpaced other contenders including Norwell at 337, Bluffton and South Adams both tied at 344, and Southern Wells trailing at 383. This Invitational was not only a testament to the Jets' consistent and improving skills but also a record-setting day for the team. Drew Johnson led the Jets with a personal best of 79, tying the school's individual record, and placing him fourth overall in the tournament. Avery Biberstine and Jayden Sharpe also set personal records with scores of 83 and 84, securing the 5th and 10th positions, respectively. Additionally, Keaton Bush and Cam Smith contributed significantly with scores of 88 and 91, landing them in the 15th and 21st spots. The Jets are eager to continue their impressive streak and bring their top form to the upcoming match against Union City at Winchester on Tuesday, May 7th. With a series of personal bests and a team record already in this season, the team is poised for more standout performances as they look to capitalize on their current form and strategy in future competitions.
